Buona Coming to Lakemoor @ US Route 12 & IL Route 120 


The Village is excited to announce that Buona Beef has submitted a building permit to construct a sit-down/carry out/drive-through restaurant at the Lakemoor Common’s commercial center. The 4,300 square foot, all brick building will have a total capacity of 140 seats (interior = 84 + outdoor = 56) as well as two drive-through lanes.

Chipotle Mexican Grill is Coming to Lakemoor @ US Route 12 & IL Route 120 

The Village is also excited to announce that Chipotle Mexican Grill has submitted a building permit to construct a sit-down/carry out/drive-through restaurant at the Lakemoor Commons commercial center. The 2,400 square foot building will have a total capacity of 58 seats (interior = 44 + outdoor = 14) as well as a single “Chipot-lane” for mobile ordering pickup

Lakemoor welcomes the McHenry Outdoor Theatre to the Village

The Village of Lakemoor welcomes the McHenry Outdoor Theater to the community. Annexed into the Village in December of 2020, the McHenry Outdoor is one of the last remaining outdoor theaters/entertainment venues in the State of Illinois. Located at 1510 Chapel Hill Road, the Village worked with the theater on their expansion plans, which includes the construction of two additional screens and a new concession building on the adjoining 8 acres immediately to the east.

Woodman's Gas and Lube Center - Lakemoor Expansion 

Building off their successful business plan at the Lakemoor Common’s commercial development, Woodman’s Fresh Market is nearly complete with the construction of their satellite gas station, which is located along US Highway 12/Illinois Route 59 at the southeast corner of site. This new unattended facility has 12 refueling stations and is an extension of Woodman’s existing gas station that is located at the north end of the site along Illinois Route 120.

Lakemoor Welcomes Dunkin' Kick Off Development in New Downtown Area

Dunkin' opened in the spring of 2020 at 209 W. Rand Road with a 2,013 square foot building with a drive-through and a total dining capacity of 72 seats (interior = 36 seats + outdoor = 36 seats). In conjunction with said development, a new water main was extended to the site and will be available for adjoining properties to further extend and/or connect into. This development is the first of many to come in the planned downtown area of Lakemoor along the shores of Lily Lake.
